Getting Started

Getting started is easy.

1.      Create Your Character: You’ll first create your character in TL’s robust character creation system. You can change your character’s appearance later, for a price.

  2. Follow the Main Story Questline: After exciting the tutorial phases, you will head to the main town and begin the real journey. Follow the main questline. It will introduce you to the story, the main characters and give lots of XP. The first several levels go by quickly following the main quest.

Fastest Way to Level

In almost every game, one of the first questions people ask is “how do I level up fast?” And the answer is almost always the same.

  1. Main Story Quests: These quests offer the most XP and are designed to guide you through the game's content efficiently.

  2. Group Up with Friends: Forming a party allows you to share quest objectives and kill monsters faster.

  3. Complete Exploration Codex Quests: These quests provide additional XP and can be done alongside the main story quests.

Guilds

In Throne and Liberty, Guilds are more than just a social group. Guilds are integral to the overall game as they offer great rewards for completing contracts and events as a guild. Guilds are also important for PvP, as TL is a PvP-centered game with a focus on conquering territories that give guildmates buffs in that area.

Time and Weather in Throne and Liberty

Throne and Liberty operates on a Day and Night Cycle. The game has a cycle of 4 hours of day and 1 hour of night in real-time.

How to Tell Time In-Game

One of the most important parts of gameplay in TL is the day and night cycle. Some quest objectives are available only during the day or night or at a specific time of day, like dawn.

  1. Check the Minimap: On the upper left corner of the minimap, you will see the icon for either a sun or moon. Mouse over that icon to see the time of day and how long until the next cycle begins.

  2. Check the Map: Open the map and look at the bottom left corner to see the current in-game time, weather, and wind direction.

Weather

Weather also plays an important role in gameplay. Some quest objectives are only available or visible with certain weather conditions. For example, some of the rarest fish needed for cooking are only available to fish when it’s raining.

How to Make Money

Throne and Liberty has several currencies to purchase items throughout the game. There are two premium currencies: Sollant and Lucent. Sollant (gold coins) is the primary in-game currency. Lucent is the game’s currency bought with real money and used to purchase items in the Shop. It’s also used as the trade currency for the Auction House or the players’ marketplace.

Earning Sollant

Earning Sollant is fairly easy. Practically everything you do gives Sollant. However, the best ways to earn money or Sollant are the following:

  1. Questing: Both main and side quests reward you with a lot of Sollant. How much Sollant you receive depends on the level of the quest. Naturally, the higher the quest, the higher the reward.

  2. Complete Contracts: Daily contracts offer rewards in the form of Sollant, the game's primary currency.

  3. Farm Dungeons: Completing dungeons can yield valuable items that can be sold for Sollant.

  4. Sell Items to Vendors: You can sell certain junk items like grey gear drops for high amounts of Sollant.

The Auction House is the marketplace where you can trade items and gear in exchange for Lucent, the premium currency. Here's how to use and make money on the AH in TL.

  1. Unlock the Auction House: Once you reach level 40 you can access the Auction House on the Main Menu.

  2. Sell and Purchase Items and Gear: Select the item you want to sell, set the Lucent price, and pay the required Sollant to register it. Browse the listings, select the desired item, and confirm the purchase.

  3. *Tip: Get started making Lucent by selling food with high-demand buffs and rare drops you don’t need.

Where to Find Salt in Throne and Liberty

Salt is one of the primary cooking ingredients needed for many recipes.

  1. Amitoi Expeditions: Send your Amitoi to regions that list Salt as a possible reward.

  2. Farm Enemies in Coastal Regions: Enemies in Windhill Shores and Daybreak Shore have a chance to drop Salt.

  3. Purchase in the Battle Pass Shop: You can buy salt using Star Crystals in the Battle Pass Shop.

Where to Find Free Skins in Throne and Liberty

The game itself doesn’t have free skins for characters. However, there are ways to get skins outside of TL’s Shop.

  1. Watch Twitch Creators: Every so often Throne and Liberty will have a Twitch event where watching a Throne and Liberty creator for 4, 6, and 9 hours will give you a free drop or reward that may include an Amitoi, Morph, currency, or a skin.

  2. Battle Pass: Max out the Premium Battle Pass to earn exclusive skins. Premium Battle Pass costs 500 Lucent or $9.99 to buy 500 Lucent.

  3. Coupon Codes: Redeem coupon codes for free skins and other rewards.

Amitoi

Amitoi are adorable companion creatures who help you along your journey throughout Solisium. Amitoi have two primary functions: heal you while you’re out and about and collect item drops. You can also send a team of Amitoi on expeditions to gather resources.

Morph

Instead of having mounts for travel, players can Morph into different mythological creatures to traverse the world. Morph abilities fall into three categories: Dash, Glide, and Swim. Then, there are special Morphs: Playful and Shapeshift.

You can level up your Morph abilities by gaining Growth Points from completing challenges specific to a morph ability.

Where to Find Lithographs

Lithographs are valuable items used to upgrade your gear:

  1. Crafting: Craft lithographs using materials obtained from dungeons and quests.

  2. Guild Rewards: Join a guild and participate in guild activities to earn lithographs.

  3. Marketplace: Purchase lithographs from the marketplace using Lucent.

Player Housing

Is there player housing in Throne and Liberty? Yes, but it’s not exactly functional just yet. After completing the beginner’s Codex Exploration quest, "A Kastleton Inn Ghost Story," in Kastleton, players will receive room at the Inn. You will go upstairs to room 2F where a cat, Rumi awaits you. After completing the quest, the room is yours to go back and forth to. However, there is no fast travel, buffs, or other benefits of having it. It’s just there, at least for now.

Throne and Liberty has a lot of content and there is a lot more to cover. However, these are just the basics and answers to the most frequently asked questions about playing TL.
