Ba Bị Horror Puzzle Game Gets Major Update on Steam
The unsettling psychological horror game Ba Bị has received a major update, expanding the story and adding new gameplay features for players on PC.
Developer Ba Bị Electric and publisher Okasan’s Recipe announced the update this week, bringing additional narrative content, a new playable character, and deeper systems to the puzzle-driven horror experience.
In Ba Bị, players take on the role of a kidnapped child forced to endure a series of twisted trials overseen by a folkloric boogeyman figure. What begins as a series of familiar childhood activities—games like Minesweeper, Hangman, and Rock-Paper-Scissors—quickly becomes something far more sinister.
Each challenge must be completed against a ticking clock, and mistakes can carry severe consequences. Rather than relying on frequent jump scares, the game focuses on psychological tension, creating fear through observation, judgment, and the looming threat of punishment.
The new update expands the game’s story with flashback sequences and hidden memories that unlock as players progress. These narrative fragments gradually reveal more about the characters and the disturbing world surrounding the “good kid” test.
Players who manage to uncover every secret will also be able to reach the game’s newly added True Ending, offering a more complete conclusion to the story.
The update also introduces several new features, including:

seven new achievements
a gallery mode featuring behind-the-scenes content and fan art
The developers say the goal is to deepen the experience while encouraging players to revisit the trials and uncover previously hidden story elements.
