Crowne Daemon Studios and V Publishing launched a unique visual novel on mental health called Syntherapy.

In Syntherapy, you play Dr. Melissa Park, a psychotherapist to investigate Willow, an experimental, yet advanced therapy AI that begins to show signs that it is malfunctioning due to declining mental health. Petrichor University research, student Tara Northrop developed Willow but Dr. Harold Freeman, the university’s president, is concerned that Willow’s sentience and declining mental health could pose wider ramifications for the university and wants to shut Willow down.

The player focuses on the mental health of both the AI and people you come across as you traverse the ethics of using artificial intelligence. The decisions you make navigating the various mental health topics can lead to one of more than 30 outcomes. A riveting, yet chill psychological story, Syntherapy is not recommended for children or those who may be affected by such subject matter.
