Gu Jian Qi Tan Overseas Edition or Swords of Legends Online players have been waiting for a content update for months. Many SOLO players have taken to the official server and forums to express how they feel as if developer Wangyuan Shengtang has abandoned North American servers. On SOLO publisher’s website, Gameforge, the only updated information available simply mentions maintenance day.
Wangyuan’s Gu Jian OL website also only mentions server maintenance day, but for the “Gonghua Year" region. Other news throughout the website only discusses the sale of skins during the Lunar New Year.
But on Wednesday, February 1, Gu Jian Qi Tan’s official WeChat announced, “World Progress Expansion” to be released on February 2.

The Gu Jian Qi Tan Online Overseas team announced on WeChat details that have not been mentioned on any of the official GJOL websites. The February 2 scheduled weekly maintenance will have content updates that include “The Lantern Festival event [Appreciating Lanterns and Solving Puzzles]”.

Again, it’s unclear whether these updates will be included with the North American server maintenance, as there have been no updates on Discord or other social media platforms for North American and EU servers. The last update for North American and EU servers was in March 2022 with patch 2.0. for those holding out hope that Wangyuan Shentang and Gameforge haven’t forgotten the NA and EU servers, March 2023 could have a content update.
Update: The February updates do not include North American and EU servers.
