Gaming

Gaming Specific Page

When starting a new game, a page just for it helps. For example, you can use a Notion page for starting your own Minecraft world or server, planning with your Animal Crossing Island, organizing your Sims CC and families, keep track of your GTA RP character. Help pull info, notes, and links about your favorite game in one place.

Game Library

Great for anyone who loves games. There is a variety of ways to organize your wishlist, requested, and owned games. Bring in the variety by a category system to organize by platform, genre, type, and features like cross-play or cross-platform. You can also note price, progress, play status, and rating.

Content Creation

Content Directory

There are so many avenues to publish your work. Keep a centralized directory of your content across platforms. Make sure to include work you co-hosted, wrote for another site or company, and pieces that are about you.

You can also create a copy of articles you wrote on these other platforms to create a secondary digital backup. Keep it private or public for reference.

Content Workspace

I always recommend a content space separate from a streaming calendar. Plan your native content or repurpose VODS, schedule on a content calendar and even automate posting (using your favorite automation service).

For more consistent workflows, use templates for each type of content you create. For repurposing use the sub-item element to keep original and repurposed items together for easier viewing. Also, you can keep links to content resources handy, (for example I use a table for ID codes of my favorite Canva elements).

Social Media Analytics Database

Via manual or automation keep a base for data relating to social media accounts, posts, or posted media. Use formulas to calculate data for better insight.

Streaming

Streaming Calendar

The classic. For you or your viewers, a calendar for either planning, post-reflection, or in-the-moment notes during the stream. Add template checklists for cohesive habits and remembering those post-stream todos.

Stream Setup Sheet

Quick! Do you know the widgets, filters, and plugins you use for your stream setup? Keep backup profile files from OBS, and a list of both digital and physical equipment you use for your streaming and content creation.

Note down interesting setups or scenarios you might try for your streams. Great for streamers with complex or different setups. Vtubers, IRL streamers, retro, and variety streamers are just some who may benefit from having a copy of tested setups to call upon.

Reference

Equipment Sheet

Similar to the stream setup sheet, this might be helpful for streamers who want a simple list of the pieces of equipment used for a specific stream or overall usage.

Nice reference for those who get asked what equipment they use (and some affiliate links as well).

Update Calendar

Set up recurring templates with checklists in a calendar database to check and update for plugins, apps, or software.

This may include battery replacement, hardware equipment check, and even a stream setup check. Don’t dash the hope and excitement of an in-the-moment stream with an ill-timed late update!

Bot and Command-List

Keep a table of active, inactive, or proposed commands and bots in the use of streams and servers. Include info on usage, description, and a quick link to the help section (for bots).

Projects Database

This is one of the first things I make in a new Notion workspace (using my PRINT AH acronym method for Notion spaces).

Keep separate from tasks (but can have tasks as child items with the usage of the dependency feature) and make sure to take advantage of the timeline view for databases for time-based projects.

Notes Database

Meetings, voice calls, or ideas for the next video, have a base handy for notes. You can use databases to keep random notes or organized “notebooks” with each page having its table, each item a “page”.

Tasks Database

A database for tasks on streaming, administrative work, or content creation. Use linked views and properties to sort and view different areas without making multiple databases.

Brain Dump

Essential for having a dumping ground for everything ( especially fleeting ideas ). It can be as simple as a blank Notion page, have this page easy to use and easily accessible.

Inbox

Items, tasks, and projects that need to be done or reviewed. A place to start for the day or week!

Goals

Short-term or long-term, start with a page for habits, goals, and milestones. You can use the S.M.A.R.T method or vision boards for your goals in the future.

Archive

A simple page to be able to pull or move old pages into. The Archive is a great alternative to permanently deleting a page.

Home Page

The place to pull it all together. Access point to the various bases or pages you have in your Notion database.

Pitstop

What happens when your productivity systems get messy? Or when you wander off of your schedule? I use the term “Pitstop” for a page that has whatever you need to get back on track.

For me, I use a page that just has the links to reports or sites I need to view to start the day. So if I forgot or got off to the wrong start I can head back to this page.

It is a fresh copy of templates, links, recommended daily/weekly/monthly tasks, or words of encouragement.

General Management

Input / Output Management

How do people get in touch with you? What methods do you use to get in touch with others? Is that form updated?

Answer those questions with a page that organizes your ways of contacting you ( “inputs”) and how you contact others (“outputs”). Keep links to forms, canned responses, and other info in one place to keep the small details from being forgotten.

Engagement Calendar

Collabs, podcasts co-host, the campaign runs, oh my!

Make a calendar that keeps info on the person of contact, dates, times, energy levels, other participants, and anything you value in engaging with others. Include both time and energy management to gauge your levels and health!

FAQ

Linking a Notion page to your !FAQ command is an easy, editable page for answers to common questions, links, and other information brought up in chat.

About Me

Use a public Notion page for a temporary “about me” or a more polished Notion-powered web page using Super.so to display info about yourself, your favorite games, the latest media, or stats.

Important Info

Either to your viewers or in your servers, having a Notion page allows a way to curate important info like your links, and additional information beyond the “About Me” on your Twitch page. You could use it as a running ‘front page” or a home page of your latest posts.

Mod Resources

Curate important rules, resources, and example responses to a single Notion page. You could also add a schedule for Mods via a calendar view in a database. Great addition outside of a pinned Discord message

Money Management

Sponsorships

Keep a list of sponsors, you worked with, want to, or applied to work with. Relate it to a stream calendar for sponsored streams, keeping track of the list of requirements and tasks before, during, and after.

Sub History

Either by downloading data or automating it, you can use Notion to create a database of sub-history for future reference.

Donations History

While donation methods vary, you can create a database for donation history. You can automate from Paypal, Ko-fi, and more to fill this database when a donation is made.

Wishlist

Great for a draft list before creating a Throne or Amazon wish list or one for personal reference.

Donation Goal List

Create a page that shows the current status of a donation and possible goal tiers with additional information outside of your progress bar on your stream.

Brand Asset Sheet

Color palettes, fonts, logos, and media kits are just some of the items you can organize in a brand asset sheet in Notion. Take it a step further by including the list of commissioned artists and designers and copyright permissions for assets as well.
