Mortal Kombat 11: Welcome Back, Mileena

Fans have been asking for Mileena to be brought back to life in a Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. And even though Ed Boon tweeted, “You will never see Mileena in one of our games ever again,” it was merely an April Fool’s joke. Still, fans really missed playing the popular female Mortal Kombat character. Well, the wait is over. Mileena is back.

In the teaser trailer, Netherrealms Studios pays homage to the fans during an exchange between Erron Black and Mileena:

Mileena: A coin for your thoughts, Erron?

Erron: Just trynna reckon why the hell you’re back.

Mileena: A million souls cried out for my return.

Hot Girl Mileena

Netherrealms Studios teamed up with Hot Girl Meg aka Megan Thee Stallion to promote the Mileena gameplay trailer that came out today. The Hot Girl cosplayed as Mileena and it was nothing short of, well, HOT.

Mileena Gameplay

While Mileena looks familiar, Netherrealms added a few upgrades to her already deadly attacks. Mileena now has an invisibility similar to Reptile (where the f*ck is Reptile anyway). Her upgraded rolling attack with her sai crank up her deadliness to about 1000%. One Twitter user compared her roll to Sonic the Hedgehog. And Mileena’s default Fatality, a Sonic-like spin-dash looks to be one of the best, and bloodiest, in the game. Judging from the gameplay and the reactions from Mortal Kombat fans, Mileena looks to be one of best characters in the game and will be a top pick, even by haters.

Mileena’s skins are in line with the more evolved design direction Netherrealm has taken Mortal Kombat 11. Personally, the Mortal Kombat female characters look way better with these skins. One of the cloned princess’ skins seems to pay homage to her father, Shao Khan.

Mileena seems to be the final reveal of the Mortal Kombat Ultimate Kombo Pack 3, which releases to PC, PS4, and Xbox One November 17 and just in time for next gen consoles.
