God Save Birmingham closed alpha dates set
Publisher Kakao Games and developer Ocean Drive Studio have released a new gameplay video for God Save Birmingham, confirming details for the upcoming closed alpha test.
The physics based medieval zombie survival simulator will run its Closed Alpha Test in two phases. Phase 1 is scheduled for February 19 through February 23, 2026, and is limited to existing pre alpha testers. Phase 2 runs February 26 through March 2, 2026, and will include both returning and new players. Sign-ups are currently open on Steam.
Combat, crafting and Barricades Take Focus
The new gameplay footage highlights expanded melee combat options, including a scythe designed for sweeping attacks and one-handed blunt weapons such as hammers. In true chaotic fashion, even improvised items can be used to fend off zombie threats.
Crafting and environmental destruction systems are also featured prominently. Players can barricade doors, reinforce spaces and manipulate the environment to survive waves of infected enemies. A new guide system has been introduced to help players navigate early game progression.
