Fastest Ways to Level Up in Once Human
Grinding levels in any game can be a long, tedious task. Thankfully, Once Human makes it fairly easy to gain experience and level up easily. Almost every action that you complete yields experience. Leveling in Once Human is easy because the season resets every 6 weeks or so. Still, players’ number one question is “What’s the fastest way to level up” in Once Human.

First, Understand the Basics
To level up quickly in Once Human, first understand its core mechanics. The game seamlessly combines base building, crafting, exploration, and combat. As you complete tasks like mining ore, logging, fishing, and discovering new areas, you gain experience. While exploring, you will come across different events or puzzles that also give great XP. Do not pass them up. Once you understand that almost everything you do in Once Human gives you experience, adventuring becomes even sweeter.
Main and Side Missions
In most games, the main missions are not only an important piece of the game’s lore and story, but they yield some of the highest XP in the game. It’s no different for Once Human. You earn a significant amount of experience points by completing the main missions and side quests.
The exact amount of XP gained varies depending on the mission's difficulty and the level requirements. For instance, side quests can offer 390 XP for lower-level tasks, and this can increase to 430 XP for higher-level challenges. Because the game is designed to reward players for engaging with both main and side content, not only is the XP gained quite substantial, but so are the rewards. Also, defeating enemies above your level gives a huge experience boost as well. It’s a high-risk solution, but the XP might be worth it for players looking to level quickly.
The Journey Menu
The Journey Menu literally guides you on your journey throughout Nalcott Island by giving you very simple tasks to complete—tasks you would complete regardless. The Journey menu is essentially your compass in Once Human. It lists tasks that, when completed, reward you with experience points and other rewards. Access the Journey menu by pressing J.
Commission Boards
Weekly commissions are tasks you can select and complete to earn a lot of XP. You can select up to 5 commissions at a time. When you complete them, you must wait until the new commissions unlock the next week. You can accept commissions at the settlement in each region, or you can accept and choose commissions by summoning V. To summon V, press TAB to open your Scoreboard wheel and select V. View Commissions will be the first option.
Zone Exploration
Quests and exploration will take you to different abandoned towns or structures within a region. They are called zones. And each zone has several objectives for players to complete including finding gear, weapons, and mystical crates and activating the zone’s Rift Anchor. When you enter a zone, the zone’s objectives will appear on the top left of your screen. Completing each objective gives XP, but completing the entire zone gives a significant amount of XP.
Rift Entities
A Rift Entity is a powerful dungeon boss players must defeat within the Monoliths or as part of a Prime War. Players can find Rift Entities by activating Rift Anchors within a region. These anchors are usually located near or within abandoned towns and structures and emit a purple light to signal their presence. To engage a Rift Entity, players must first activate four Rift Anchors in a region, which then allows them to challenge the Entity within the Monolith. Defeating a Rift Anchor gives players an insane amount of XP.
Securement Silos
Securement Silos are challenging dungeons filled with enemies and bosses, offering players the opportunity to gain experience and valuable loot. Whether you complete a Silo in a group or solo, the experience gained is the same for everyone.
Season Goals
Completing Season Goals in Once Human provides a substantial amount of experience points. Season Goals are different from the Journey missions as Season Goals are intricately tied to the game's seasonal themes and narratives, offering players unique challenges and the opportunity to earn rewards that contribute to their progression within the game. You can also continue to work on the season goals from the previous weeks within the season. To access and track Season Goals, press ESC and click on the Scenario, which is the top right banner, then click on Season Goals.
