Answering 6 FAQs for Survival Game Once Human

Once Human, the latest survival shooter from NetEase Games, has taken the gaming world by storm with its intricate gameplay and immersive post-apocalyptic world. Players have been flocking to this survival adventure, eager to explore, build, and survive in a land transformed by alien stardust. As with any complex game, new and seasoned players have many questions. Here are some of the questions I’ve seen repeatedly asked in World Chat.

How do you fish in Once Human?

To begin fishing, you must craft a Fishing Rod at a Supplies Workbench. The materials to craft a Fishing Rod are logs and copper ingots. Before you can use the fishing rod you will also need bait. Craft the Dough Fish Bait with corn at the Supplies Workbench. Drag your rod to a spot on your hot bar and press the corresponding hotkey to equip it. Press R to equip or change bait. Press the left-click as if you are firing a weapon. Hold Left-click to find a suitable spot to aim your rod (these instructions should pop up on your screen).

How do I Summon my Deviant?

To summon a Deviant, first, build an Independent Securement Unit in your territory. Place the Deviant you want to use in the Securement Unit. Next, Synchronize the Deviant to your Cradle. To summon your Deviant, press E and choose either Auto Attack or Designated Target. Make sure you take care of the Deviant’s needs to maintain their Deviant Power and Mood. Each Deviant has different requirements for care. Deviants may require music, nearby flowers and/or crops, mood lighting, electricity, or a combination of two to three of these to enhance their mood.

How do I send a friend request Cross-Server?

Currently, Once Human does not support cross-server friend play. However, Players can send cross-server friend requests by adding their friend’s in-game name or User Identification (UID) always found in the lower left corner of the game. Press F1 to open the Social Tab. You can also press Enter to bring up the Chat function where the Friends is located at the top left of the window. In Search by name or ID, input the player’s name or UID. Their name and icon should appear.  Players are encouraged to join friends on the same server so they can play together seamlessly.

How do I Change Worlds?

Changing worlds in Once Human is easy. Find a Transportation Tower and if you haven’t already, activate it. The option to Change Worlds should be G on the Tower. Select the world you want to teleport to. Be mindful, if you are teleporting to another world to play with friends, make sure their server is the same number as yours. You can find your server number when you log in. Also, when you take photos with your camera your player info will be in the bottom left corner of your photo after snap the pic, giving you the option to keep or remove the info. The last 1-2 digits of the five-digit sequence is your server.

How Do You Move Your Territory?

Want to move your Territory to a new area? No problem. When you get to the area you want to move to, press B to open Build. Then press Z to Move Territory. Adjust your building the way you want then click to set your Territory. Sometimes items will be destroyed or disappear when you move your Territory. Check your Vault at the Territory Terminal.

How Do I Delete My Character?

In Once Human, you cannot delete your characters after creation, unlike many other MMOs. This means you have to be very careful with your character choices because they are permanent and there are no server transfers, yet. However, if you want a fresh start, you can create a new character on a different server.
